How are these various business leaders upholding and promoting ethics and integrity within their organisations?

As the old saying goes, “actions speak louder than words” – so how do leaders ensure that ethics and integrity aren’t just slogans but are the backbone of their organisations? We asked experts to share how they weave these values into everything they do.

Their strategies – from fostering open communication to setting unshakeable standards – reveal how they create cultures where integrity isn’t just upheld, it’s lived.

Want to see how they pull it off?

Michael Mazey
Manager – Tax & Accounting: Collins House

In our office, upholding and promoting ethics and integrity is essential for building trust with clients and staff, while ensuring a positive work environment. To implement these principles into our core values and daily operations, we have documented a code of conduct that clearly defines ethical standards and expected behaviours for all employees, from leadership to entry-level staff. We are also incorporating regular training sessions into our training program to reinforce these values and ensure everyone understands their importance.

Transparency is the key to maintaining integrity. We have implemented new procedures that promote open communication where employees feel comfortable reporting unethical behaviour without fear of retaliation.

By nurturing a culture of accountability and respect, we not only safeguard our reputation but also contribute to the well-being and success of our team members and the firm.

Director: Adele Media

I have been incredibly lucky to have worked with some of the world’s most successful social change agents including Jamie Oliver, The Sunrise Project and AIME. One thing these organisations all have in common is they are led by people driven by a burning desire to create positive change. How do they do it?

Lead with integrity. Stay true to your vision and values. Believe in your mission. Be brave. Be vulnerable.

Put kindness at the heart of everything you do. Always.

Listen for understanding. Pause. Don’t rush to solutions first. Ask questions from a place of genuine empathy and respect.

Respect different perspectives and lived experience. Despite our differences we are all one.

Become a Jedi Master! Diversity builds resilience within your organisation and promotes innovative ways of dealing with complex issues – hire for diversity.

Pivot and Grow. The biggest challenge is maintaining the fine balance between capitalising on opportunities for growth while building resilience within your team to cope with change.

Embrace change. “What worked? What could we do differently?” Release the need to be right, leave space to learn from your mistakes, and remember: “Life is meant to be lived in love, not perfected in fear.”
